Furnishings For You is a social enterprise to support the mission of A Place For You: the profits will go to support APFY, the business will allow residents of APFY to volunteer and give back to the community that supports them, and it will allow residents moving out of APFY with free furniture to furnish their apartment.

During a recent Financial Resiliency and Social Enterprise Workshop given by the Initiative Foundation, past and present board co-chairs looked at many ways to begin the journey toward financial sustainability.  The Workshop helped us with writing a business plan, strategy mapping, structuring a financial plan, research based marketing strategies, as well as the opportunity to connect with a number of other nonprofits in Central Minnesota. A Place For You decided to remodel the east storage space and start Furnishings For You, our social enterprise to support the shelter.
