MealTrain

An Easy Way To Get Involved!

What is MealTrain?

Share A Meal

MealTrain is a free meal calendar tool that makes planning meals among a wide group of volunteers easy and less stressful for everyone involved. Using MealTrain will allow you to choose a specific date and gives you the freedom to state what you are planning on bringing to the shelter.

Why does APFY use MealTrain?
Due to the lack of a commercial kitchen, we do not have the capacity to cook meals for all of the residents, creating a need for community support by providing dinners.

How do I sign up for MealTrain?
If it is your first time using MealTrain, you will need to create a new account. You can sign up for a new account Here. Enter your information and create a password for yourself. Then click the "view MealTrain" button, which will bring you right into A Place For You's MealTrain sign up. From there, select an open date that works for you, click "book date" and enter what you would like to make.

How do I know what to make?
Residents at the shelter are not too picky as to what gets made, so you make whatever you would like to prepare! We do have a spot on the right side of your MealTrain that says if there are any allergens that are currently noted at the shelter. Please take this into consideration when preparing a meal. It is requested that you make enough to feed 10 people, because that is how many the shelter houses. If you have questions you can always call the shelter at 320-438-7070.
